Best Wishes to the 2016 Accra Autism Conference in Ghana!

One of the most exciting aspects of Autism Awareness and Acceptance Month for me is the international focus. As we hear about and see images of communities throughout the globe hosting events and sharing with others, we are reminded that Autism is not a nation’s concern, but a human concern. Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders are from all racial, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. I had the honor to be a part of the inaugural event for the Autism Society of West Africa in Ghana in 2011. They have continued the tradition, and will focus on Neurodiversity in 2016! Wishing you all the best.
